Envertech sees microinverters as having advantages over string inverters in terms of yield or installation. Now, Envertech’s the new products allow the installation of up to four modules with separate maximum power point tracking(MPPT). In larger systems, several microinverters can form a string per phase.
Envertech is promoting the use in larger photovoltaic systems - and is now bringing new microinverters onto the domestic market that are designed for systems with up to 60 modules.
Envertech offers advantages in fire protection, installation, yield, maintenance, and service life. Photovoltaic systems deliver significantly more power when partially shaded, as each module has its own microinverter with its own maximum power point tracking (MPPT) - unlike string inverters, where the entire yield of a series-connected module string usually collapses if one or more solar panels are shaded or not performing well.
